Vimarks privacy policy

Vimarks is a Chrome extension that searches your bookmarks and optional browsing history on your computer. It does not require an account.

Data we read

• Bookmarks, to list and open them, and to delete a bookmark when you confirm with d
• Browsing history, to rank results by last visit, to search history when you turn that on, and to delete a history item when you confirm with d
• The current tab, only to draw the keyboard overlay on that page

Data we store

Settings (size, font, default Archive/History toggles) and last-opened bookmark times are saved in Chrome’s local extension storage on your device.

Data we do not collect

Vimarks does not send bookmarks, history, search queries, or settings to the developer or to any server. There is no analytics, advertising, or account system.

Web search

If you press Ctrl+Enter or choose “Search the web”, Chrome opens that query in your default search engine. That search is handled by Chrome and the search provider, not by Vimarks.
